So spent the last two days talking with the various crews and also during school to some of the others who work for different organisations. There is going something on.

One, the scuttlebutt is that it are mutants with the symptoms Jean described, both visible ones or just suspicions.

Second, and the tale gets weirder here, a crew a the Claremont brought in someone we know is a mutant with those symptoms, he got better and today they brought him in with exactly the same thing.

Laurie, anything like this in your ER?

Yeah, friends have asked if I saw anything like this in Central America, because everyone's first thought is some kind of mutating tropical virus (a la Zika). I'm not an ID specialist, but I'm putting some feelers out and my old hospitals to see what else I can get.

I'm definitely seeing an increase in cases through the E.R. We've been trying to keep it quiet, there's enough paranoia around mutants as there is without adding 'mysterious symptoms' to the list.

It might be good to keep all the potential causes in mind.

I can test for viral, but we might also need to consider the possibility of an outside contaminant. Perhaps poison or something else people could've come into contact with.

Sounds like it'd be something up XFI's alley. They can be discrete enough to keep things quiet.

Not surprised, sadly.
