Am attempting to clean up my potty mouth in the new year.

Anyone want to join me in a swear jar for the labs? I figure a $1 for particularly bad words, maybe 50c for things like the less egregious examples.

I'm pretty sure that would rapidly generate enough money to buy an entirely new lab...for my part it's totally not my fault. I blame whoever mixes gum into electronics to try to make them work better.

This may be my plan. My nefarious plan involving Tropical Islands and getting away from it all.

Tell me you can't picture crystal blue water and drinks with umbrellas in them.

The chart would solve my memory issues during the school year though.

Picture it? That's my holiday plan for this year, somewhere with blue water, white and an festive drinks with Umbrellas. It will happen, somehow.

School...I really do need to go and talk to my advisor soon. Been putting that off for way too long.

I've already talked to my school - they're happy to accept me back but it's going to make me a raging nutter till I figure out residency.

Plus I still have this whole arm thing to get used to. I'm going to be doing all the non-physical rounds first.

Thank God I don't have to do psychiatry again - that's all I've got to say.

It's more about the time, I don't know when I can take the time off that somewhere like that deserves.

Taking a while to get back up to speed?

I've got a Thesis I need to work on that I kinda said I'd do over Christmas and then did nothing about. In my defence tasty food.

More the limitations of the human body. I've got a replacement limb that in theory is better and more versatile then the one I lost.

In practice physical therapy takes time and teaching my brain to interact with my new arm is frustrating.

I could but then my dad is likely to call out the national guard and the marine. I'm not joking he actually would do that.

Yeah, that's what you hear from feedback on the prosthetic limbs. Even with the best tech it takes a while for someone to get used to it.

Your Dad sounds like he's a worrier. How does that work out given our lifestyles?

Some days are worse then others. Least it's taken care of the thinking there's something still there when it isn't though.

He is...but then it's not like he has no reason to be. umm, he kinda doesn't know everything that goes on around here. I kinda don't wanna be exiled to Antarctica.

It's nice that he worries about you - my mother always tells me that it's the one thing I can never tell her not to do. Something about being a parent and it being in the guide book.

My own father was an interesting enigma. Had a power similar to mine but I could never find any trace of him. Don't even know if he survived M-day.

I try to think of them - Some days it's easier then others. Still - having my health and people who love me - could be so much worse.

Yeah, my dad says exactly the same thing. I bet it's a secret book they get given when you have your first kid. I mean it's not like I haven't given him enough things to worry about in the past but...I've totally been good this week.

Only this week? I'm surprised the man hasn't come here to read us all the riot act about his little girl. My mother once stormed into a Police station and probably would have scared the lot of them half to death if Xavier's lawyers hadn't already been handling things.

Unfortunately I don't get any 'criminal element' cred on that considering I was a minor at the time and have since mended my ways by dating mercenaries and spies.

It could have been bunnies. (Are Buffy references still cool? I don't even know anymore. )

I'm sure he'd love to, in fact that's his common threat. If he ever finds out about my apartment I don't think anything is going to be able to save me. I'm pretty sure he has scared a Police station to death before but they annoyed him so he brought the heavy cavalry with him. That was kinda fun to see to be honest.
